As I am about to graduate from the Journalism program, I should be plunging headfirst into this news junkie’s heaven that is the war in Iraq. Why then do I not feel like even checking the daily news online, let alone turning on the television or radio? And forget the newspapers, I actually avoid walking past the distribution boxes, as to not catch the first pages’ glaring headlines. The war is less than a week old and I’m sick of it already. This weekend, major cities around the world were swarmed with protests, and I didn’t attend any of them.
