Because a strong and prosperous society is often a round-developed one, it always pays more attention for the well-being o its individual citizens. But whether a developing society als o should concert it? Somebody argues that if a society is to thrive, it must put its own overall success before the well-being of its individual citizens. On the surface, it may seem an reasonable argument that we should work hard for a thrived society firstly and then enjoy the fruits we have planted. But on a closer examination, we find several problems the argument has. Although sometimes we may sacrifice some peoples¡¯ well-being at the moment in order to protect the long-term benefits of the major people, it is not necessary for a society to give up the well-being of its individual citizens when it just begins to thrive. In contrast, it is more possible for a society advance more rapid and healthy because in a society with appropriate well-being of individual citizens, people can put their all energy into work for the progress of society and need not worry about heir payment ability for child education, illness and tiny but bothered other family problems.
