Idealism: A Road to Take
PREFACE On October 12, 2033, thousands of media broadcasters and on-line newspapers around the world tried to describe the indescribable. The New York Times On-Line published an astonishing heading on its home page, which read: “Horror in Chicago: More Than Three Million People Died of Calcinations After the Drop of a Japanese Nuclear Bomb, No One is Alive.” The CNN, broadcasting from a secret site, denounced the president of the United States and the National Security Agency as the primary responsible for the deaths of innocent civilian lives. Meanwhile, Japanese broadcasters, on the other side of the world, had not stopped to send images through the net showing hundreds of rally celebrations as sign of revenge for the previous month’s Tokyo’s nuclear bombings, which led to more than two million civilian deaths as well. “This is it!” exclaimed a graduate student of the University of California at San Francisco, “the world has had more than enough! Global systems and diplomacy means have failed to give the globe its most deserved request: Peace, once and for all!” As half of the world stared in terror, hundreds of individuals from several ethnic backgrounds, social beliefs, and all ages, tired of protesting and not being heard, gathered in the streets of San Francisco, California. In general assembly, they decided to depart from San Francisco Bay that same night taking dozens of improvised wooden ships afloat searching for a neutral and peaceful land. After several weeks of intense search, they found a deserted island off the Pacific Ocean. As they landed ashore, they stared at the magnificent view of the immense island. A group of them was designated to search for food and any sources that would reinforce a prominent settlement. The news were great as they told the rest of the community that they had found several different types of fruits and a great number of different animal species. Nevertheless, the news that stood out and marked the future of a prosperous settlement were the findings of several waterfalls and the circulation of a river that scattered throughout the entire island. The settlement was imminent, and several weeks passed in plain freedom and commonwealth. Everyone helped each other construct small structures that would implement the spread of the first civilian community on the island. However, as several weeks passed by, the necessity of a set of rules and common beliefs was forthcoming. As in the time they first met in San Francisco Bay, they organized a general assembly in which everyone, regardless of age, race, or language, would have equal voice, consideration and vote. The main objective was to embrace everyone’s religious beliefs in a way that would be just as fair for everyone in the commonwealth. Unanimously, they agreed that the foundations of their principles had to be based on the idea that everyone was equal, the respect among each other was imperative, and the solidification of the use of no harm was the only means for the solutions for future encounters. Hundreds of issues were evaluated through a fair voting system for the next several weeks. As each issue was evaluated and passed, the Code of Universal Conduct was implemented among its inhabitants. For the following years, this settlement started to live under a true-commonwealth system and named this island Peaceland. As hundreds of new members from all parts of the world, horrified by the remaining global wars, landed on this land searching for true freedom and peace, they were accepted under the same equal conditions as of the rest of the original settlers. Nevertheless, they would subdue to Code of Universal Conduct, which herein follows. THE ESSENSE OF THE SUPREME FORCE The Supreme Force is the Ultimate Ideality, which resides within and beyond all. It is the source of life force, life supremacy, and life guidance. It is an eternal, impersonal and formless source of energy that is open to every living creature regardless of its precondition, condition, nature of existence, or set of beliefs. This Supreme Force is the Ultimate Truth in the cosmic order. It manifests its Eternal Absolute Soul through all matter and life forms. It allows all living creatures to live in common-share and common-balance among the rest. It is the source of the circle of life that enables all living creatures to rebirth and regenerate into more complex forms of existence . The utmost state of existence in the circle of life is the human being’s soul only after this one has passed through several levels of existence that have empowered it with the absolute state of wisdom. Secondly, all creatures must live in harmony, balance, and shall not harm the others to satisfy self-interest. They must learn to live together in commonwealth and facilitate the living of its co-inhabitants. Thus, egoism must be patrolled for it leads to self-desire and craving. These escort to unwholesome thoughts and behavior such as violence, greed, and hatred. Suffering is the result of cosmic imbalance, and disharmony may result in suffering. Finally, the Supreme Force is the source of life guidance for it allows its creatures to learn all of life’s lessons through experiencing and rectifying their wrongdoings. The growth of spirit facilitates the regeneration of one’s soul into higher levels of existence. Though disloyalty and the concealment of truth ought to be disciplined, for they are obstacles of a common-balanced state, wrongdoings must be disciplined in corrective ways, which grant all its creatures the opportunity to rectify them, and to learn from them. THE FOURTEEN UNIVERSAL COMMANDMENTS The time to live in absolute truthfulness has disembarked. Hereon, all the members on this island shall remain united in fraternity and goodwill. The following commandments shall remain eternally in the minds, hearts, souls, and spirits of all the founding and future members of this community. SUMMA PRUDENS DICTUM (The wisest words) The Universal Law rules the world; any harm or injury to a brother may return one way or another. There will be no judge to punish all sinning members, except the regression to a lower level of existence determined by the Supreme Force solely for the purpose of rectification and self-instruction . The members of this community will be the adjudicators of their own lives, for they will be in control of their beings and actions. Men and women were created under the ultimate purpose of living a prosperous and fruitful life; nonetheless, they will have to toil firmly to reach the utmost level of existence. In order for them to receive the gift of a prosperous existence, they must practice the following Fourteen Universal Commandments. All fourteen of them are just as equally imperative to the success of one’s life. About Life Live a life with love and respect to all living creatures The creation of life is the mightiest mystery in nature. The destruction of a life is the most deplorable sign of hatred, and total regression. One should not adore or worship anybody other than oneself. One shall not adore images, for those are just illusions of existence. An Idealist shall love oneself and respect one’s body. The body is a temple, for it is the purest form of reality.
