Thesis statement: We must know how to budget our money so that we are not on the verge of financial crisis. Skipping showers for a week. These are all a result of not being on a budget. Credibility material: I’ve done research and found that University students are vulnerable to financial crisis, especially if they are not on a budget. Thesis statement: We must know how to budget our money so that we are not on the verge of financial crisis. Preview: College students do need to be aware of how to follow a budget. (Transition: “Let’s look at the first step in planning a budget.”) BODY I. First you have to start by estimating your expenses. A. Starting by making a list of all expenses. 1. You can use a worksheet to help you do this. 2. Or simply make your own list. 3. You should include everything from rent, gas, and other bills to food, entertainment, vacation, and savings.
