Gratiano has only one part in the play Othello, written by William Shakespeare. He shows up in Act V, Scene II and only has a few lines. Gratiano is the character who announces that Emilia has been killed right after Iago kills her with a sword. Before all of this happens, he talks to the deceased Desdemona. He mentions that her father has been killed, and it is a good thing he had been due to the fact that he would not have liked what he would have been seeing at the moment, and he may have done something very crazy.
