Piaget taught us that children actively seek knowledge through their interactions with the environment and that hey have their own logic and ways of knowing that evolve over time. I fell it is very important for teacher to study Piaget because he carefully gives us insight into the development of the children that we will teach. Studying Piaget's theories can be beneficial to all teachers. B. Piaget broke his theory up to say that while children develop they pass through four different stages. The first is Sensorimotor, which occurs from birth to two years of age, and is the stage where object permanence is developed. Then there is the preoperational stage that occurs from two to seven years of age.
