Adam and Eve were the first people created in the image and likeness of God. God gave them everything they needed as long as they did not eat of one tree, an apple tree. One day a serpent came and tempted them to eat the apple. At first they resisted but eventually they gave into the temptation and ate it. God was upset that they betrayed him and expelled them from the garden. They had the free will to choose not to eat the apple, but they ate it anyway. They were not forced to eat it, but the idea was put in their mind by the serpent. They were victims of the serpent’s temptation, but they were also villians because they excercised their own free will. In this same way Macbeth was both a victim and villain. Everyone who is human has at least one flaw. Some are more serious than others, but everybody has one.
