In my opinion, the most important story from the New Testament that is essential to the religious message of Christianity is the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and rising from the dead. My favorite interpretation is from the book of Mark, specifically from verses 15 and 16. Honesty, I do not know of any other story that deals with the message Christianity teaches than this. Since I can ever remember, going to church, Sunday school, and all my life in a religious school, the message is you have to believe that Jesus was God’s son who died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day. To prove this story is so important, take a look at two of the sacraments.
