The story I’m going to tell you now will be a little awkward for me to say. I had a sort of informal interview with a close friend of mine. I don’t want to say his real name because some of you may know him. He goes to school here. So, I’ll just call him, John. We had a hard time having a good question answer session because of the topic we were discussing. We talked about a horrible experience John was involved in. It was horrible because John was the victim of the incident, but because he was the aggressor. John, like many young men, viewed pornography often. By pornography, I don’t mean seeing someone like Nicole Kidman with her shirt off in a movie; I mean graphic hardcore images. John had been watching porn regularly for about five years prior to his incident. Here’s what happened. Over the summer, John took a girl he knew from high school on a date, which was rare because he doesn’t go on many dates. He had very little experience with people of the opposite sex. They went out to the movies and after the movie, they just drove around Scranton for a little while. Eventually, he pulled into a vacant parking lot. The girl got a little nervous because she didn’t know John very well and thought that he wanted to make out with her.
