In the first essay, “A President in Full”, Fred Barnes expresses his support for President Bush’s style of governing, “a prominent feature is now of Bush’s governing style is a presidential power, exercised baldly, boldly and world wide” (Barnes 164). Barnes favors Bush’s strategy of not waiting to hear from views from other foreign leaders or from Congress. He believes Bush’s tactics to be “effective and appropriate” (162). Barnes also likes Bush’s leadership capabilities by his strong actions, which seizes the responsibilities of bipartisanship. There is one matter Mr. Barnes points out is that President Bush strictly relies on his “own” instincts.
