A Marine Biologist's responsibility is to observe and report all of the effects the environment is receiving from direct and indirect sources of pollution. With these findings, the Marine Biologist must determine a solution to help the environment return to its original state. A Marine Biologist monitor and review information from materials, events, or the environment, often to detect problems or to determine if a solution is working. They evaluate the information against a set of standards and verify that it is correct. They also translate or explain what the information means and how it can be understood or used to support responses or gain the feedback of others.
