NEVER AN EASY WAY OUT Ho-Hum! Your father has a terminal cancer and he spends most of the day in agonizing pain. He spends two hours on chemotherapy that he knows will do him much harm than good. The rest of his evening is spent in pain as well as vomiting from the treatment. For the entire day, he had one glass of water and one slice of bread to eat and he threw up right before he went to bed. Is this the way he shall continue to live? He wishes to die rather than to endure long burden. He even considers euthanasia as an alternative. Is euthanasia a justifiable solution for him? Why Bring That Up? The reason I am bringing this up is because the debate on euthanasia is a phenomenon of the 21st century. Globalization has lead to the spread of ethical values as well as the spread of modern medicine and public health. Many people have beliefs about whether euthanasia is right or wrong, often without being able to realize the consequences more deeply and clearly.
