Web Addiction
According to David Greenfield, these specific Internet users seem to have a problem of escapism. Concordantly, these certain users tend to occupy most of their free time on the web rather than perhaps spending quality time with friends and family, or taking on responsibilities more important than leisurely web browsing. He illustrates this point by explaining the disruption it has caused in specific cases in family circles. After regarding the issues in his essays, I tend to agree with what he says. There are countless anonymous users out in cyberspace that flood chat rooms, and an enduring quantity of communities that range from practically anything you can imagine. I can account for someone I knew that lived lies through the Internet (someone who will remain anonymous) because he loved the idea of having the opportunity to live out certain fantasies he had.
