To know, is to understand, an understatement of course. Yet how many of us do know, and when we find out through research or word of mouth, what do we do with this knowledge? For us to grow as a society we probably should share knowledge, and gain it on a constant basis, and all the while keep a realistic approach to sharing and keeping knowledge from each other, not for selfish reasons but beneficial ones. For many its trying to accept some information that surely rocks the soul, that changes one's life from what was instilled, from what was gained at so high a price. Many choose not to accept new information that would benefit them because they have no energy to change the momentum of there course the life style they chose through weakness or influence(not truly comprehending how help and a little effort can make this possible, help that is availible, that they don't know of, that they only know is a sign of weakness from society that is constantly knocking itself out of fear of failure, or to get over on one another).
