I really dont know what to write i just came here to get free essays, this sucks i just need the essay, im stumped i don't know what to write, this essay i need is on blade runner, i need help, i need ideas........ Why wont you just give me the essay, then i can write it up and get a brilliant mark. How many words do this have to be? Because im just rambling on about nothing and you'll probably say it lakes potencial but im not after potencial just after ideas. Well here my essay: Throughout the novel Montana 1948 David’s ideas of manhood change. David realises that life’s problems cannot be easily resolved, and that his Uncle Frank is hiding his true self. When David was a child he took things at face value, but as he was growing up he realised that things do not always appear, as they seem. During the novel David realises that being a war hero, athlete and doctor does not represent manhood. Manhood is to have moral courage. To do what is right even if it feels wrong. Supporting justice rather than family. You do not have to be powerful to be a man; you need to have respect for others. David was forced to rethink his perceptions of people and manhood. As he grows up his ideas of manhood alter; he looses his innocence and begins his sexual awakening. “As long as my father was going to be a sheriff, a position…of excitement, danger and bravery, why couldn’t some of that promise be fulfilled…but my father didn’t fit my idea of what he should be … he disappointed me at times.” He had a gun but never carried it. He did not even look like a western sheriff, he wore a shirt and a tie like most working men. He never wore his badge on display; he carried it in his suit-pocket. As Sheriff Wes had to chaperone night dances, he usually took David and his wife Gail along. As a child David respected his father but didn’t want to be like him, he wanted to be like his Uncle Frank who he thought was manlier. As David grows up he understands why his father never wore his badge or wasn’t as strong as Frank. Wes was injured, he walked with a permanent limp, he never really wanted to be a sheriff in the first place, he wanted to be a lawyer but he had to keep the Hayden name as sheriff of the county.
