Dear Vanessa, I’m deeply sorry for your father’s death Vanessa. He was a strong and loving father carrying a heavy burden on his shoulders and in his heart, but he is finally at rest now. You should not feel as though you betrayed your father by not attending the Remembrance Day parade, because remembering them is by acknowledging what they have done for you. Your father understands you and you understand his grief for his brother too.
