Different Aspects of religion
Different Aspects of Religion Why are we here? Why is there good and evil? Where do we go when we die? Some time or another people ask themselves these questions. But they will soon find out that the person who asks the questions will have to choose who has the right answers. It might be difficult to find the correct answer out there because there are so many religions to choose from, each having its own answer to the questions of life. All religions have three main points, which are a belief in a higher power, sacred texts, and the need to live one's life in accordance to their religion. A belief in a higher power is the focus of a religion. Without the higher power there would be no religion, no sacred texts, everything would be meaningless. No human could create life, as we know it. Its impossible because if a human created the world who created that human? It’s a contradiction in itself. The world is so complicated and intricately designed that something bigger then us humans had to be a part of. Sacred texts are a way for us to learn more about the higher power. It is a way that we could feel closer to our higher power and explains to us how the world came to exist and why. Some people are more gifted in the interpretation of the sacred texts and they become the religion's holy men. Their job is to aid others in their journey to understanding. By reading the sacred text's humans also get to figure out how they should change their lives to follow the teachings of the higher being. This is the third point of a religion. It shows that they have had an effect by changing their ways and follow what their higher power would want them to do, so in the end heaven is the reward. Primal Religion is a religion in it's own category. No one ever asks the question "what time is it?"(Smith, 372) For these people the concept of time does not exist. Instead of them going through the technological changes, they have remained true to their roots.
