These were completed within the scopr of the project and delivered within the time scale specified. INTRODUCTION This project was to develop and demonstrate an understanding of how to efficiently design, layout and plan a manufacturing and production unit using decision support system software. This software allows various scenarios to be simulated to efficiently plan a production operation. OBJECTIVE The objective is to advise a gate manufacturing company on how to plan its’ production operations and establish the most efficient way to run its’ operation. Assignment should be in by 22:00hrs 29/11/2002. METHOD I analysed each task given and created a simulation model per task. The tasks were: - Task 1 Create a simulation model to represent the flow of work through the various processes described.
