As we all learnt that, water covers about three-quarters of the Earth¡¯s surface. Although this is a great amount, we cannot take it for granted as water is very important and precious, especially freshwater, which only covers three percent of the whole water. All water on Earth is renewed through the water cycle. Heat from the sun absorbs the water into the atmosphere and the water vapour forms clouds. Then the clouds condense and the water returns to us as rain. All living things need water. It is interesting to note that water makes up about sixty-five percent of a person¡¯s weight.
