Should caning be introduced in schools to curb indiscipline? Write an article to a newspaper to express you views, giving reasons as to weather you support it or not. All the sentences above are about teenager’s behaviour that happens almost everyday. It is really unbelievable. Is there anything to check this unsightly behaviour? I believe, quite a number of you would say, “It can! But only by using corporal punishment such as caning.” But do you really thing that it would really works? Well as a teenager, I have my own opinion about this topic. So, stay on and read. Whether caning is effective or not in instilling discipline has been debated since time immemorial. There are two sides to it. The first group are the psychologists, educationists, parents and pupils, themselves, who insist that caning, besides the physical pain it causes, will only do permanent damage to the minds of those who receive it.
