Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Directed by Jonathan Mostow Terminator 3 stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as Terminator, Nick Stahl as John Connor, Claire Danes as Kate Brewster, and Kristanna Loken as T-X. The movie takes place a decade after Terminator 2. In the movie Sarah Connor is has died of leukemia and John Connor now is in his 20’s. Even though they had averted the nuclear war that would cause the takeover by machines that the machines would still take over. A T-X the most advanced Terminator is sent back in time to try to kill all that were involved in group that would attempt to stop the takeover by machines; which includes John Connor and Kate Brewster.
