The 1960’s were a time of great change. There were the deaths of many famous people, new inventions, scandals, lots of style changes and many new sensations in all kinds of music. During this decade, there were many kinds of styles. In the early 1960’s, one of the women’s styles included the “stack dress,” a dress with a slimming sheath look. By 1962, the square and rounded necklines had given a look to the slim “Shirtwaister” dress, with a button-down neckline and a cinched waist. By 1964, teenagers influenced the hemlines to creep up.
