It would take a lifetime to get them to understand the importance of the game of basketball to those who play it. Those who love it. Those who live it. To us, basketball is the eye of the hurricane that is our life. No matter how chaotic our everyday life may be, from the time we step on the court until the time we wipe the sweat from our brow and step out of bounds for the last time, everything is cool. "You get the ball, and all eyes are on you. With the rock in your hands you have control of the game and everyone involved. The next move you make will lead to your respect or your embarrassment.
