Kerr, M. E, Gentlehands. New York: Harper Keypoint, 1990. Rating The characters that appealed to me are Frank and Buddy because they got along so well and they barely knew each other. One event that I enjoyed is when Buddy's mother went to eat dinner with her father (Frank), and they saved the racoon that was in the trap with a broken leg. Skye Pennington and Billy Boyles were the characters that did not appeal to me. I did not like it when the dog was killed by the towns people or when I found out that Frank was the German Nazi known as Hentlehands. I believe that this book is for an audience around the age of fifteen to seventeen because M. E. Kerr wrote about events that they can relate to.
