The poems “The Ice-Floes”, “T-bar”, and “Spruce” have distinctly Canadian features as shown by the settings they use and in their spirit. The poem "The Ice-Floes" is Canadian in spirit because the characters in the poem are sealing on the ocean, and this was a Canadian traditional way of life back in the older days. “The Ice-Floes” is Canadian by the setting because it is in a northern area, with lots of ice, and snow.
