I belong to an average urban middle class family currently based in New Delhi, India. My parents have inculcated in me a strong sense of honesty, fair play and social responsibility. I believe that one should honour one’s obligations towards one’s roots. I have been a good student throughout, consistently counted amongst the outstanding members of my class. I secured the second rank in a batch of over 450 students in my pre-university exams. A country as vast as India stands a lot to benefit from E-governance and E-commerce, if implemented such that people trust it well enough to use it. It is thus imperative to design such systems from the ground up making them better suited to Indian requirements than to use re-engineered systems imported from the West, which is sadly, the norm.
