some of us do believe in a higher being, others however, do not feel that a belief in a higher power is necessary. my personal opinion is that you can believe what you want, and if what you believe helps you live your life, then you shouldn't care about the others. the story of creation states that a higher power, in this case, God, created the earth and it's inhabitants in a time of seven days.
