Euthanasia , or as some prefer to call it , Assisted Suicide is recently becoming a controversial issue , both morally and legally , throughout the world . As more terminally ill become aware of this possibility to end their suffering, many governments are being pushed into new legislation regarding the personal choice between life and death and finding it hard to respect each individual’s ideals. The most important arguments regarding this issue are the value of life , often arising because of religious preferences and the possibilities of regulating these activities . Many countries have already taken the step towards legalizing euthanasia with tight control and records over the situation The UK is legally one of the least updated countries in the European Union on it’s view on euthanasia , without even having the distinction between murder and consented homicide .
