Increasing Physical Activity in People with Type 2 Diabetes People with type 2 diabetes receive less support, education and encouragement for physical activity compared with any other type of diabetes. Information is required to determine how to promote physical activity to this population, and which are the physiological and biomechanical variables after 6 months of practice in people with type 2 diabetes. 70 people participated in this study, consisting of 35 male and 35 female adults of middle age; 50 of them were obese, 16 were overweight and 4 were of normal weight.
