Blair warned against using Mandelson Prime Minister Tony Blair was warned today by a union boss against using "back seat drivers" such as Peter Mandelson or Alastair Campbell in his shake-up of Government communications. Transport and General Workers general secretary Sir Bill Morris said that would be a "recipe for chaos". He was speaking against a backdrop of reports that ex-Cabinet minister and Labour communications director Mr Mandelson or even the resigning Mr Campbell himself might still advise the premier on news management.
