Prayer Session Exodus 2:23-3:10
There may have been times in your life when you cried out to God; there may have been a death in your family, serious illness or some other problem that lead you to call on God’s help. Today we will look at Exodus 2:23-3:10, which looks at God’s response to the suffering of the Israelites. Even though this was written thousands of years ago, your cry for help is the same to God as the suffering of the Israelites. The opening part of the passage states that “the Israelites were still groaning under their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry went up to God………”. The Israelites had been in Egypt for about 400 years. They were slaves and the Egyptians were killing their baby boys. They cried out to God. A God they did not know, but had heard about through stories past down from generation to generation. But does God care? Does he remember his people? Their suffering was long and lasted for many generations. When we suffer, we need to have patience. God does not always give us what he promised right away. The passage continues “…………And God remembered his covenant with Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
