Macbeth was responsible for his actions in the play. The witches were involved with what happened but not responsible for what happened to all the people. Macbeth was given an idea that he took to far which resulted to his death and Lady Macbeths death. This all could have been stopped but their ego was just too big and it kept on growing with the more murders that they committed. In this essay we will tell you who were responsible for what happened in the play and how Macbeth was involved with the witches. Macbeth was involved with the witches because he went to them for information. The information was about how he could become king and who he will lose his title to, so who would try to kill him. The witches idea which lead to treachery and murder. The Murder of Macduff’s family, Duncan and Banquo. These people were very close to Macbeth but his ambition took control which made him do anything to get what he wanted. He wanted to be king, to stay king and for his children to be king. But the people started to find out what they did because Lady Macbeth’s guilt started to show when she was sleep walking and acting out Duncan’s murder in front of people. “Yet who would have thought the old man to have so much blood in him.” Page 72 Line 38. Macbeth’s guilt started to show when he was haunted by the ghost of Banquo in front of guests that they had invited. “Thou canst not say I did it: never shake Thy gory locks at me.” Page 45 Line 50. Lady Macbeth saved that scene by saying the king was very sick and that he was not feeling. Lady Macbeth’s fears lead to her guilt, the fear of people finding out what they did. The guilt lead to her murder but she was part responsible for what happened in the play.
