“The Jacksonian Democrats viewed themselves as the guardians of the United States Constitution, political democracy, individual liberty, and equality of economic opportunity.” I agree with that statement. They attempted to increase the equality of the lower class by passing or vetoing bills that would decrease the power of the rich. The Jacksonians improve commerce that helped the “common people”. Political democracy was dramatically improve by the Jacksonian Democrats. One important thing, is that they appealed to the working class, especially the common people of the west, where President Jackson was from.
