dance assignment
This assignment is about a report on my performance in dance over the term. It will also analyse the stages of learning and the factors effecting learning in relation to dancing. I have collected the data in this report by using such book as skill acquisition resource booklet given by the teacher and other such books in the library. Other research methods include using the internet, magazines, video of skills and dance or personal feedback. Cognitive stage There are three main stages of learning motor skills, these include the cognitive stage which is identified as the basic or understanding stage of skill learning and also where the performer focuses on what to do, make frequent large errors, often unable to recognize error and has slow learning speed and inefficient movement. The performer requires support from teaching aids such as demonstrations, pictures and videos etc to enhance visualistion of the skill. Teaching focus is conceptualisation. Associative stage The second stage of learning is the associative stage and is identified as the intermediate or practice stage of skill learning. The performer in this case focuses on how to do the skill, makes some errors but less frequently, is able to recognize errors and an emphasis is on temporal patterning.
