My experience as an American in a foriegn country was amazing. Although I was not accustomed to the enviornment, I found it easy to adapt to Madrid,Spain's unAmerican traditions. The two informative years I spent in Spain were full of joy, but at some points uncomforting. Surrounded by a small number of Americans, I realized that Spainish would soon become my secong language. The thought of having to attend a private school overseas was not thrilling. In the long run it did not turn out to be as awful as I imagined.
