The main character in this book is Buck. He reminds me of a friend of a friend of mine named Ryan. They are both strong, courageous, smart and a good friend. A part in he book I found unrealistic was near the end when buck got revenge by killing the Yeehats. How could one dog scare them all away? There is no way that a dozen people would run from one dog. I think that the relationship between Buck and John Thortan is interesting because even after all the things they have gone through, saving each other’s lives, Buck is still just a dog. The saying “Mans best friend” definitely applies.
