To begin with, the movie was one man’s quest (Carl Brashear) since he was young to succeed and prove to everyone that you can be anything you want to even when faced with many different hazards, obstacles and diversity and racism to attain the unattainable goal. The movie also proclaims the fact that even though through personnel like Master Chief Sunday that did not think he was committed and tried to force him to fail he continued on and later drew those people into him and received support and respect for those personnel that were against him.
