In Beijing, China on August 21, it was reported by Peter Harmsen that a virus similar to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) was found in snakes, birds, and mammals. The research was done by fourteen United Nations and Chinese experts. They visited farms and markets in the province of Guangdong. Their results were out of the ordinary. François Moutou, an expert in epidemic diseases, says that their findings are very strange because it is not typical to find a virus that affects so many animals.
