"entertaining sanity"
“Entertaining Sanity” Have you ever been consumed into the plots, settings, and characters of an amusing and colorful movie or play? It can be argued that this consumption has the power to take us into an alternate existence where reality becomes clouded by the entertainment in which we all seek. But the question remains: how do we as a race interpret the fine line between reality and that which is but merely entertainment? There is no question that we all have sought out some sort of entertainment in some time of our lives; whether it is fleeting to a dark theatre to watch a movie in which a hero saves the day or maybe to a hall to witness a classical play of destruction and human realization with a tragic ending in which William Shakespeare can be found guilty of creating. No matter what type it is, entertainment definitely has and will forever put an everlasting impression on how society has developed and will continue to develop over the years. I believe that entertainment does not have the power to corrupt society because it provides people with an outlet to relieve their stress, brings people with a common interest together, and it gives people opportunities to become cultured. Entertainment provides citizens with a great way to escape from his or her daily, monotonous routine. It is true that people have responsibilities such as raising a family and going to work or school. But life would be rather tiresome if all you had to look forward to was that same routine over and over again.
