It is because I agree that not all the holes of racism have been filled, and that affirmative action still has a long way to go, that I stand here today firmly negating the resolution regarding affirmative action. Racism is still as widespread as it was when the civil rights acts were formed. This is evident today. For example, the beatings of Rodney King showed us how racist of a nation we still are today.
