The History of the Sex Pistols Malcom McLaren had his own clothing store in London England in the 70's. He decided to create a rock band, one which would rock the foundation of the music industry itself. Glen Matlock, was already working for Malcom at his store. He then brought in Jones and Cook. Rotten, who was notorious for his ruddness around the store made him ideal to become the lead singer. Rotten, who had never sung publically before, had doubt at first, but his charisma and talent for rage and anger soon shattered all doubts.
