My dreams and hopes for the future. Good afternoon everybody. You already know, my name is Alex. I was absent the class last Thursday that I couldnˇ¦t have to give this speech. So, Iˇ¦m standing here right now. I have been living here in Seattle for the past two months. I came here to be with my parents as they are both getting old. It was not an easy decision for me to leave Taiwan, but I am sure that many people here had done the same. Before I came here, I worked in the Taiwan television industry as a producer of many local television programs. It is a job that I had been doing for 20 years. There are many advantages to working in this industry. For example, I have met and become friends with many television and movie stars, and I have had the opportunity to travel to many places.
