This lab has several goals in mind. The main goal of this lab is to determine the densities of both Coke and Diet Coke. Naturally, we believe that Coke will be more dense than Diet Coke because it is has a higher sugar content than Diet Coke, which uses an artificial sweetener as a replacement for sugar. At the end of 8th grade, students will be sent in for evaluation of their physical characteristics before a panel of judges. They will earn a score of 1-10. The result of this evaluation will determine which school they are placed in. 10. Students earning a score of 10 meet all the criteria for students that earn a 9 (see below).
