image Analysis on Picasso's painting 'Girl In Front Of Mirror'

|
This painting ‘Girl in Front of Mirror’ by Picasso in 1932 is a cubist artwork seen from a multiplicity of views. It is a complex artwork, which can be analysed and interpreted in many ways. The Girl in Front of a Mirror could be described as an interesting and hectic painting. It consists of a range of vibrant colours but they are overtaken by the vast amount of crisp, thick black lines and grey background. The majority of the lines in this painting are curved the only straight ones being on the women clothes and in the background. These curvaceous lines around the girls’ stomach have implied a little form and have given the painting a softer feeling. The painting isn’t very tonal except in the girls face in the mirror.
