Hi, I am going to tell you how I built a plane and flew it in this class. There were only two people in my group. At first I was nervous because I didn’t know what I was in for. I surprised myself because I was wrong. This project was so much fun, especially when we got to fly the planes. In this project I built a model airplane. I also learned what the different parts of an airplane do. I learned that the fuselage is the part of the plane that holds the people on the plane. The flaps help the plane land. The part of the plane that helps it move up and down is called the elevator wing. The aileron wings are one of the most important wings, they make the plane turn right and left. The steps for constructing this rubber band powered airplane are the following: 1. Get an exacto knife and cut the wood to the shape of the wings on the paper that was handed out to us, 2. Take the wood, and make sure that all the measurements are perfect, 3.
