LIVING UP TO YOUR POTENTIAL
INTRODUCTION: It must be frustrating to be a teacher, because you see so many children with so much potential but they don’t study or do their homework and instead of being a superior students they are nothing more than an average student. It is frustrating being a mental health professional. You see so many patients who have the potential to live a normal life if they take their medication but for whatever reason they chose not to, and as a result their life is always in turmoil. It must be frustrating to be a judge. You see the same people coming back to your bench time after time. You know that they have the potential to break this cycle but for whatever reason they don’t. The truth is that for everyone of us in this room today, there is some area of our life in which we are not living up to our potential. Unfortunately, for many of us it is in the spiritual area of our life. Many of us in this room have much more potential to life spiritually than we do. In our passage of Scripture we will be studying today, the people were not living up to their spiritual potential and King Hezekiah challenged the people to rise to their spiritual potential. And I believe with all my heart that God today is issuing that same challenge to each on us, to his church, to live up to its spiritual potential. READ 2 CHRONICLES 30:1-9 1.For me to live up to my spiritual potential, I will find God where I left Him.
