I will be writing my project on lightning. Lightning has always been an interest to me so i think that this will be an enjoyable subject to write and learn about at the same time. I will be outlining some basic facts about lighting, some statistics, compare the relationship of lightning and thunder, some safety tips, and a few other points. Lightning is defined as being an abrupt, discontinuous natural electric discharge in the atmosphere, or The visible flash of light accompanying such a discharge. A discharge of atmospheric electricity, accompanied by a vivid flash of light, commonly from one cloud to another, sometimes from a cloud to the earth. The sound produced by the electricity in passing rapidly through the atmosphere constitutes thunder. Lightning effects a wide range of people around this world, and here in the United States every day. Lightning can be seen throughout the year and is a part of out lives untill the day we die. Hopefully when I am done with my paper you will have a greater understanding of lighning and a greater respect. Maybe you will even have a little more fear. Did you know lightning hits men more than twice the amount of times as women? This is just some of the information I will be providing to you from the sources I gather.
