ABORTION

Does the word abortion mean murder, or a way out? A tremendous amount or our society believe one way or the other. I decided to take it upon myself to research the topic to see the arguments to both sides of the story. First of all there are several ways to perform an abortion. The most common two ways are induced abortion and menstrual extraction. Induced abortion is the use of drugs or instruments to stop the normal course of a pregnancy. Menstrual extraction is a technique, which is also called eudiometrical or vacuum aspiration. It is used for most abortions done in the first trimester. It is done by suctioning out the lining of the uterus through a thin and often flexible tube inserted through the opening of an undialated cervix. Some people in our society believe that the word abortion is simply a medical term used for murder. They feel this way because they feel that a person(s) is taking a human life and committing murder as a way of mere convenience. The fetus is alive from the very beginning of conception whether it be classified as a human being or not, it is still LIFE.
