As we make the transition from the Second Wave to a Third Wave civilization, Toffler envisages profound, far-reaching changes in all aspects of society. Many of these changes have already begun to affect our lives. Indeed, Toffler expects economic, moral, and political crises and upheavals will mark this transition. Something in my life, I feel is important, is a career. This is something that would be greatly affected by the incoming Third Wave. A career is important to me because it is something I will be doing for almost the rest of my life. It is important to choose one I will not hate or tire of soon. I want to enjoy the things I do everyday. Without a career, how would I live? I have to have a job to pay for my necessities, such as food and shelter. In order have these and things that make life fun. I need to have a good well-paying job that allows me to spend money even when I don’t need to. I plan on having a family someday, too. I’m not the kind of girl that dreams of being a stay-at-home mom, either. So I’m going to need a good career to help out with the expenses of having a family.
