Age and physical development are important factors when putting together a fitness program for young adults/teenagers. The age of a person does not always match the physical development of an individual and the opposite may also apply. A thirteen-year-old male may be 6’2” and weight 200 pounds. Another thirteen-year-old male may be 5’5” and weight 100 pounds. The certified trainer must be able to put together a program that will benefit each client based on a through evaluation of his or her client. The evaluation of the client will take into account the body type, shape and stamina of the client. Only after the evaluation is completed can a trainer put together a fitness program that will help the client reach his or her goals in a safe and healthy environment.
